The Star-Advertiser reported the highlights of Mayor Carlisle’s proposed budget in a “breaking news” story yesterday. It spelled out amounts to be spent on several programs, including “…$200,000 for a pilot program to replace existing parking meters with advanced meters and censors.”
The sharp-eyed reader who caught the item quipped:
Advanced censors? Must mean the redacting is done on an i-phone or an i-pad.
A couple of weeks ago, he flagged another a local story on KITV, the local ABC affiliate.
I was amused at this story on Channel Four (KITV) that purports to give viewers a picture of where the film industry is going in Hawaii, and there is no mention of Hawaii 5-0, the only current production underway right now – and a mighty contributor to the $180 million generated last year But then, Hawaii 5-0 is on a competing network . . . “LOST” (long gone), and “The River” were/are both ABC shows.
Was that the corporate censors at work?
