July 1969: “Lunar module has landed on moon.”

August 1969: Ian & Meda get married.
OMG! That’s so long ago! Just look at the old black-and-white television in my sister’s house that we gathered around to watch the moon landing. It would be a cool antique today. Just like us, I suppose.
Anyway, click on the photo for the whole story. The photos are vintage 1969. Proceed with caution.
And Happy Anniversary to us! Now we just have to figure out how to celebrate.

Congratulations! And that is a fine set of photographs documenting that big day long ago. And, now, onward into the next forty-three years!!!
Happy anniversary! 🙂 My parents were married 53 years before death parted them – seems a rarity nowadays.
Thanks for sharing this happy thought. Congratulations both!
Mahalo for sharing. Loved the pictures. Especially the cars. And what a huge orchid Meda was wearing!
Enjoyed the photos very much. We’re working on 16 years — got a long way to go to catch up.
Congratulations!
SigOth and I celebrated 33 years this past May and I have to say that I am not a happy cat because I never planned on being An Old Fut.
It never occurred to me – and bear in mind that I have five graduate degrees on my wall – that I would age out. I wonder if most people wind up feeling the same way?
Anyhow, congratulations on your 43rd anniversary. Why don’t you take an evening stroll to see the sun set in the ocean and have a picnic at Ka`ena Point.
Congratulations Ian and Meda!! The tv picture reminded me that I was at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri
for Basic Training and AIT. Alohas
Brings back memories. We watched the moon landing at our friends the Cliftons, coconut grove, Kailua.
Congratulations! Beautiful photos — I really enjoyed them.
