Two readers have reported that the photos in the “One pot meal” challenge aren’t displaying properly on their computers.
I’m wondering how widespread the problem might be.
If you’re also having problems, please leave a comment below. Also let me know what kind of computer/operating system you’re using.
My regular photo software (Lightroom & Photoshop) aren’t loaded on the tiny 11-inch MacBook Air that I travel with. It’s possible my alternative software introduced “issues”.
In any case, I’m just trolling for additional diagnostic data.
Many thanks!
p.s.: if you have had trouble, can you view these photos?

I’m not seeing the photos; just two small horizontal lines where each photo should be.
I’m using a Lenovo laptop with Windows 7.
I’m wondering if this is matter of bandwidth? When our hotel Internet slows to a crawl, the photos don’t load, other times, they readily load.
Ian, Also not seeing the photos; same as above comment just lines. Did you know that I have a sister in NZ? regards C
Saw it fine on a pc using mozilla firefox and have windows xp.

Ian:
I am using Windows Vista and IE8 and am one who cannot see the images. I can see the images at http://ilind.net/gallery_2012/challenge/ no problem. Also if I right click on the line in the post and look at the properties I see the URL for the picture. If I go to that URL I see the picture just fine. I think that the problem is with how the picture is inserted into the post as there is no active link associated with it as there usually is.
FYI. I was able to duplicate the same look in WordPress by having zero height on the pictures.
Aha!! That’s the clue.
I went back and discovered that the version of Mars Edit that I’m using on this traveling laptop is set up differently from the one I regularly use, and it inserts a “height” variable, which I don’t use at home so don’t typically look for.
I deleted the blank “height” variable and I’m guessing that the photos will now display properly.
My fingers are crossed!
Photos are showing up fine now.
