Feline Friday: Toby, Romeo, and an IOU

Okay, this doesn’t qualify as a full Feline Friday. I’m short of photos, as often happens, but this morning I’ve got an early appointment which won’t leave time for the usual full photo gallery.

But here’s a bit of cat news.

Mr. Toby joined us for happy hour on a recent afternoon. This is a kind photo. It doesn’t show that Toby has regained the several ounces that he had shed a year or so ago. So we’re back trying to restrict Toby’s calories. Oh, the wine wasn’t his. Whew.

Happy Hour

And then there’s Mr. Romeo.

The bad news is that he’s still obsessed by the black nemesis from next door. He is constantly eager to get outside and patrol the boundaries.

But…and this is a big BUT, he and black cat are reaching some accord. This past week, I’ve found them several times engaged in the full meatloaf.

Do you remember the Kliban cat, hard to distinguish from a meatloaf?

Yes, that’s Romeo and black cat, meat loafed about 12 feet apart, each staring into space as if the other wasn’t there.

And, as a result, no fighting.

We can only hope it’s a trend.

I hope to return and post a full Feline Friday photo gallery. I’ll try.

Maybe it’s only me, but everytime I look at one of your lanai photos, they look da kine…. like a painting. Compliments.
