Meda had a couple of days of work in Hilo, including a Women’s History Month public presentation and consultations with faculty developing a degree program in Women’s Studies (which received a key approval from the UH Hilo Faculty Senate on Friday afternoon), and I tagged along for the ride.
On Saturday we toodled around to some of our favorite Hilo haunts, even making it up to the Volcano Art Center.
But this morning we are making our way back to Honolulu, so I’ll just post this bit of Hilo beauty and catch up later. A walk through Liliuokalani Gardens at dawn is a great way to start the day, almost as good as the beach in Kaaawa, despite the drizzle that’s an almost constant companion.
More photos to come.
