The application to send TMT case directly to the Hawaii Supreme Court

The Hawaii Supreme Court this week agreed to take up the case of the Thirty Meter Telescope on Mauna Kea, bypassing the need to wait for a decision by the Intermediate Court of Appeals.

I always like to look at the documents in a case like this.

For those of you who, like me, want more details, here’s a link to the Application for Transfer to the Supreme Court, along with a link to the transcript of a December 13, 2013 hearing when the issues were presented to the Circuit Court in Hilo. The case now before the high court is an appeal of the decision made by the Circuit Court, which upheld the permit approved by the Board of Land and Natural Resources for the TMT.
