I have to admit that we thought moving across the mountains from Kaaawa into town would mean a rather wholesale change in our morning routine, which has come to include a walk on the beach at dawn every morning and a string of incredible sunrises over the years.

In practice, though, we’ve moved from one beach to another. And the dawn on this end of the island has proved to be equally spectacular, even if it is different backdrop than Kaaawa.

This morning, I switched to a different camera to get a slightly wider view of the sun as it rose between Koko Crater and Koko Head.
