When will it end? I just heard a newscaster saying this was due to some kind of a work dispute and wasn’t terrorist related. Maybe not, but I can’t help but think all the similar terrorist killings inspire crazy guys with big guns to settle their grievances in the same way.

Another dismal day is a perfect statement. How much of the destruction in the world has been caused by religious beliefs and those who think theirs is the only way……for centuries? Maybe these were not terrorists, but let’s wait and see…..as Judith said, copycats……but settling a grievance by killing so many people?

I grew up in San B. … I worked for the County. We had Christmas parties. 45 years ago I could have been at a party like this one. Oh, wait — 45 years ago this wasn’t the way things were. So sad.

Sad……Depressing…..When will it end?????? I used to live in Bethel, Alaska where one of the first school shootings occurred in the 1990’s. You can still see the bullet holes in the walls of the school today. Even though only two people were killed it had a traumatic effect on the entire community for life. Every time there is another mass shooting it just reopens and deepens the wounds experienced by those affected by previous shootings. Whether shootings are done, by terrorists, disgruntled employees, confused teenagers, or people with mental illness the federal government needs to get their act together and do something, anything to decrease these violent acts.

Looks like Hillary was right all those years ago when her campaign wondered whether Obama could handle that 3 a.m. phone call. All he can do is parse his words in order to maintain claims about ISIS being “contained” after the Paris tragedy and America being “safe” from terrorism after the massacre in San Bernardino. Well, the presidential approval polls tell us the public ain’t buyin’ it. The 2016 election can’t come soon enough for this country to get a new leader capable of dealing with terrorism. The scary thing is that we have one more year with the lamest of lame ducks. The bad guys may very well plan to execute their plots while we still have a president acting like a deer under the glare of headlights.
