Another anniversary celebrated

It seems like a long time, and yet it doesn’t. How does that work?

Meda and I spent yesterday celebrating our anniversary, roaming through six thrift stores from San Bruno to San Mateo (Meda found a fine cat pin and dog earrings), lunching on leftovers from our Szechuan meal the night before, and joining friends for dinner at a small French restaurant in Menlo Park. All in all, a very nice day.

Here are a couple of “then and now” photos to mark the occasion.

Top photo: Then, the afternoon of August 15, 1969. At the home of my sister in Palo Alto, California, a few hours after we were married in Judge Sidney Feinberg’s chambers. Bottom photo: Last night, August 15, 2018. Yes, I know, my selfie aim wasn’t perfect. So it goes.

Congratulations. That’s the kind of celebrating I like …travel…a thrift store or as many as I can find to hunt in and food with good friends. Can we see Meda’s cat pin and doggie earrings another blog post (I also look for stuff like that? Happy Anniversary.
