We arrived in Hilo for a short visit late yesterday.
This morning, I awoke early and opened the curtains in our hotel room.
Gasp. What an incredible view!
In the distance, the rising sun is hitting the upper slopes of Mauna Kea. Hilo town is along the Bayfront to the left of the photo.
Rain swept in off the ocean within a few minutes, obscuring the view. But the few minutes of clarity were wonderful!
