We got an unexpected treat yesterday. Lunch at Kilauea Lodge with a friend from UH-Hilo, who disclosed that she adopted a 10-week old kitten just last Saturday. So of course we had to pay a visit.

We met Jasmine, the kitten, as we came in the front door. A few minutes later, our friend let her two big dogs, Jake and Jenny, into the room as well. We were worried, but little Jasmine wasn’t afraid of those dogs, while they were curious but careful with her.

Anyway, here are a few photos. It’s hard not to fall victim to highly contagious kitten fever.
