I just watched an interesting 37-minute video by Nick “A-1 Nick” Lindblad of A-1 Bail Bonds. I bet this company is not on your list of news sources. But perhaps it should be. This video is an informal interview with Honolulu attorney David Hayakawa, who had been representing a neighbor of the home at 3015 Hibiscus Drive where the fatal shootings and fire erupted last month.
Hayakawa describes how his client, and his family, had been harassed by Jerry “Jarda” Hanel, a tenant in the house next door, who is believed to have been the shooter who killed two police officers as they responded to reports of a disturbance at the scene. He provides chilling details of what led up to the extraordinary morning of violence.
Mr. Hayakawa has a unique perspective having fought a 7 year legal battle again shooter Jaroslav “Jerry” Hanel (who was known to his neighbors as “Jarda”) and describes the now deceased shooter’s erratic behavior, mental illness, and personality quirks.
Hayakawa also discusses the use of temporary restraining orders (TROs) against a problem neighbor and dealing with a “crazy” neighbor.
The Hayakawa interview is also available as an Apple podcast.
This is the latest of several videos that are available via the A-1 Bail Bonds’ YouTube channel.
You wouldn’t think of a bail bond company as a source of news, but this innovative use of social media is an example of how the world is changing.

Mr.Hayakawa, is needed as a legislator or Prosecutor to correct and fix the massive shooting spree gaps in our Laws and Courts!
Perhaps, not as learned members of our Hawaii Judiciary Committee Chairs and Members need to carefully watch Mr Hayakawa’s analysis of legal process that failed to stop Mass Murderer and Arsonist Crazy Jerry! But nothing will open Rep. Lee closed liberal eye’s…as House JUD Chair!
