I just checked the status of my mail-in ballot via a link on the Office of Elections website, and was able to confirm it was received, validated, and is ready to be counted.

For all the state’s IT flaws I have to give them credit for this system.
The NY Times flagged today’s Oahu and Big Island mayoral contests as “special elections.” The state’s proclamation of 2020 elections confirms without explaining. Today we had a Primary Election; nonpartisan Primary Elections for OHA and Kauai county positions; and nonpartisan First Special Elections for Honolulu, Maui, and Hawaii county positions.
