Kali made it through her V-E-T appointment this week with only short-term impact on her self-esteem. Our favorite vet, Ann Sakamoto, reported Kali did not take kindly to being poked and jabbed. And, she clarified, “she’s really strong for a small cat!”
Next step is her appointment for dental surgery next Friday. So far, Dr. Sakamoto has not been able to get a good look in Kali’s mouth, so can’t say at this point what is going to be required. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, apart from the pain caused by his bad leg/hip, Romeo is doing very well for a very old guy. His appetite is good, his affect is good, his weight is stable, and he mostly eats the cat food designed to play nicely with his early stage of kidney disease.
I ended this week with more photos of Romeo than Ms. Kali. It’s the first time in a while that’s been the case.
The best photo of the week, though, is the last one. Kali is looking out the window into our front yard, and you can see her reflection looking back.
In any case, do enjoy this week’s Feline Friday.

A very welcome and needed respite from all the week’s craziness!
Thanks!
Whew! That really helped, mahalo. Most particularly, I got a good laugh out of #8226. Cracked me up.
Poor Romeo. He looks to be quite tired. We grew up with five to seven cats at any one time.
