It’s V-Day for us. V for vaccine, of course. So we’re off shortly to get our shots. Most of our friends on the mainland have already had theirs and we’ve been suffering vaccine envy, even though a year ago we all thought the wait would be much longer. I’m pretty sure we’ll be getting a two-shot vaccine, with a month between shots. So it will be late April by the time we’re done and ready for a little more “normalcy.”
In any case, our day started with dawn and dogs. You can follow along, below.

That Pepper cute as ever and in fine form!
I have nothing but praise for the vaccination process that Hawaii Pacific Health has established at Pier 2, and I assume that Queens runs an equally good one at Blaisdell. The combination of professionalism and friendliness was exemplary and restorative of a belief that we can undertake complicated tasks in Hawaii effectively and efficiently. Too bad we can’t trade the coming increase in the State income tax for a similar level of competency and service.
My friends in Volcano on the Big Island are still waiting for shots. I hope they don’t have to wait much longer. So Slooow!
