Take your seats. Here comes Feline Friday!

Another week, another Feline Friday.

Looking through the week’s photos early this morning, I discovered how we’ve normalized scatterings of cat litter that follow the cats and end up spread across the floor of various rooms, hiding in plain sight on chairs, etc., etc. I apologize in advance to all the clean freaks out there. One thing is different since Duke died. The layer of loose cat hair is gone. He was a one-cat fur factory, and a very prolific one at that. Now we have cats that don’t launch a cloud of floating fur particles any time they are touched. I miss Duke a lot, but I don’t necessarily miss the layer of fur on everything.

This week I caught one photo that shows Kali’s paw, claws extended, just hitting Romeo head-on. Ouch. But apparently she’s delicate about it, despite the visible claws, because he doesn’t really react much at all. He just takes it in stride.

At his advanced age, Romeo has decided he really likes Fancy Feast, flaked fish varieties. His stomach seems much more sensitive than it used to be to “regular” canned cat foods which use more fillers. So I’m now spending too much money on tiny little cans of FF cat food. Luckily, apart from an occasional lick, Kali isn’t much interested. She prefers her dry food, and despite her almost toothless mouth, she and the kibbles get along fine.

So it goes. Dive into this week’s photos!

Life is just better when we know we have a Feline Friday in our future, every – almost every – week. Mahalo nui Ian. It’s the small things that are so big.

My guys love FF smelly fish and shrimp; I order it from Amazon- it’s less expensive by the case.
