What luck! Today I’ve got Feline Friday up and ready to go first thing in the morning. Well, first thing here on Hawaii time. It will get to east coast readers over lunch.

Here at home, we are trying to get ourselves prepared for what comes next. Romeo is having more trouble these days. His hips hurt. His has what by now is probably mid-state kidney disease. We know there’s “something” that shows up in his xrays as a shadow. Could be a tumor. Maybe not. At his age, we haven’t sought to pursue a diagnosis. What would it accomplish in the absence of treatment?

I wouldn’t say we’re at the day-by-day stage with Romeo. But week-by-week? Probably.

As long as he has some treats, is eating, caring for himself (more or less) and can get around, we’re all good. For now, we’re good.
