This week has been quieter on the cardboard box/tunnel front. Kali and Kinikini seemed to have exhausted the frantic play that extended through all of last week, and have slowly tapered off to just a few bouts of hide-and-attack in the tunnel each day. I suppose it’s possible the box can even be recycled one day in the not-too-distant future.
The other thing to note is that greeting and growling has become quite rare this week. A head bump or face rub, and a lick, has become the routine greeting. The potential for routine hostilities has finally faded over the nearly nine weeks Kinikini has been with us.
I have gotten Romeo on a daily schedule with a Gabapentin tablet every morning for the pain in his hips. Luckily, he gladly accepts the pill in an aptly named “pill pockets.” He gets one with a pill in it, and another as a chaser. This has become a treat for him. We have not always been so lucky getting pills into cats, an experience most cat people will relate to.
In any case, here come the cats!

Ugh! Cats and pills! Say no more!
Looks like Kinikini is vying for “handsomest fella in the Lind household” award!
p.s. ain’t cardboard one of the greatest inventions??
I’m having some tears for Romeo after seeing that pic of him asleep in that coveted sunny spot. ?
Yes, that’s one of his remaining happy spots, and this is a great time of year to enjoy it! Kali and Kinikini seem to yield to him at these moments.
