The cats were in fine form this week.
Kinikini is somehow a shape shifter. At times, he appears compact. Other times, he stretches out and looks like a large cat. He has a lot of energy and often just spontaneously erupts into play. Just one example–the blurry photo in this batch where he found a tennis ball and just happened to knock it past Kali’s hiding place under the futon in our spare bedroom.
There’s another scene in this batch. Kinikini ready to pounce on Kali as she sits under a chair at our dining table. I didn’t get a decent photo of the resulting blur of paws and claws which somehow miraculously didn’t result in any injuries. And when it was over, Kini strutted away and Kali held her ground under the chair. This scene is repeated many times a day.
Romeo is, well, hanging on. Good days, he eats well and is happy. Not so good days, his appetite is suppressed and I have to resort to baby food to get calories into him. But he gets a lot of lap time. He’s earned it since he adopted us back at the beginning of 2005.
In any case, here’s another week in our feline household. Enjoy!

Kinikini making his move as Alpha of Casa Lind. Kali says “not so fast, buster”. Romeo shakes his head and says “Kids…” under his breath.
