It’s only been eight days since I brought Bessie, our newest feline adoptee, back from Aiea and left her safely closed in our small spare room where we thought she would hide while getting used to the idea of living indoors in a new place.

It hasn’t worked out that way. Instead of taking weeks to join our other cats, she made it quite clear before the end of Day #3 that she was ready to boogie and wanted out of “her” room.

In a few hours, she will have been with us for 8 days.

That’s eight days during which she has made herself right at home. Amazingly, she has been accepted with no fighting or aggression, just a very few token hisses when different cats found themselves suddenly in close quarters with her.

This morning began with some pre-dawn playing, which will give you a better idea of how things are behind the scenes of our feline household. This is sort of a down payment on tomorrow’s Feline Friday.
