It’s just after 5:30 am on Christmas morning. I’m sitting in the dark at the dining table with my laptop, checking the news and browsing the web. Romeo is on my lap, purring. Bessie, who turns out to be our best present of this season, is on the table just to the left of the computer. She’s doing a big pre-breakfast clean. That’s one of the good things about cats, they’re self-cleaning!
In any case, it’s too early for a Christmas photo.
So here’s one from Christmas morning 1958, taken in our living room here in Kahala with my parents and my older sister, Bonnie, with a fully dressed tree.

Merry Christmas, Ian!
Merry Christmas to your family.
Merry Christmas! We watched The Electrical Life of Lewis Wain last night. Kitties galore. It’s a sad, happy story and I had to quickly see if I had any of his cat prints. Quirky off the wall schizophrenic complicated man and his family and cats cats cats.
Merry Christmas Ian and Meda!
I’m enjoying your blog more and more!
Thanks for the cat calendar. Now I’m ready for 2022, the year of the tiger.
Aloha Ian,
Mele Kalikimaka to you, Meda and the kitties. I so enjoy your blog and thankful for all your posts.
Merry Christmas to you all – kitties included, of course. Thank you for your blog and beautiful photos that I’ve enjoyed all year long.
Merry Christmas Ian, Meda and Beautiful Feline members of the Lind home…. I truly look forward to evey blog you write and enjoy everything you write Ian. My lifeline to memories of my life in Old Kahala as well as a way to stay up to date with issues of import there. I’ll always be an Island Girl no matter where my carcass resides!
