YES!

The cats are here for their weekly appearance.

It took them several days after we returned to calm down and get back into their regular routines. But all is well, at least with the cats.

I should note that these cats love bird watching! Birds fly in every afternoon to check whether I’ve put any food out for them on the back deck. Bessie sits on our dining table, stretched out and low to the ground, chattering in excitement. Kinikini usually stands looking out the sliding doors and taking in the activity. It’s clear they were both hunters in their previous lives.

Now they more typically hunt the sound of a can popping open, or a tennis ball found under or behind a chair somewhere at or around 4:15 a.m. and proudly batted around the house.
