I’ve gotten just a little more information about the May 11 program at the Federal Court in Honolulu.
I’m told those participating in the reenactment include local attorneys, law clerks, and judges, although I don’t have any names at this point.
The event will take place in Aha Nonoi, normally Judge Leslie Kobayashi’s courtroom.
The program is expected to take 90 minutes, with some time for questions.
One thing to keep in mind is that seating will be limited. Aha Nonoi has seating for only 78, and a video feed is planned to another courtroom to accommodate additional spectators.
I’m hoping to get additional information on those who will have roles in the reenactment, and will share that if/when it is received.

Ian, Dennis Carrol wrote a very good play about the Massie case. It was performed at Kumu. I was in the cast. Kumu had a Hawaii Humanities grant to hold talk sessions about the play. They were amazing, especially about how many families did not evee want to discuss
this with their kids. Stannard says that the affair cemented thhe category of “local.”
Ian, please enroll me in the May 11th reenactment of the Massie Kahahawai case. Mahalo a nui loa!
I am just the messenger here. The program is presented by the U.S. District Court and other sponsors. So I am unable to sign people up for the program.
