Ashley Wong, who was the girlfriend of Jonathan Fraser at the time he disappeared in July 2016, took the witness stand yesterday in the racketeering trial of former Honolulu business owner Michael J. Miske Jr.
Don’t miss the excellent story by Civil Beat’s Madelein Valera on her testimony so far (“Fateful Car Wreck Takes Center Stage At Miske Trial As Alleged Murder Victim’s Girlfriend Testifies / Ashley Wong spoke through tears as she described the 2015 crash that severely injured Johnathan Fraser and led to the death of Michael Miske’s son. Miske is accused of conspiring to have Fraser killed months later“).
Testimony on Wednesday traced the couple’s relationship, their living situation, and then focused on the accident in November 2015 that left Fraser and Caleb Miske, Mike Miske’s son and only child, in critical condition. Fraser survived and was eventually discharged from the hospital, but Caleb Miske died in March 2016.
Wong’s testimony is continuing today, Thursday, April 18.

That was an interesting read. I may have missed it had you not highlighted it.
Did any of the articles so far ever focus on Delia’s role in all of this? How much she knew? Complicit, etc. They were friends too..
As far as I know, the answer so far is “no.”
But the issues surrounding Fraser’s disappearance are just coming into focus.
There are additional issues, such as unverified rumors of a personal relationship between Delia and Miske, which have not come up to date.
And Delia is on the list of potential witnesses.
Ian, in all this coverage by you and Civil Beat, I have noticed a strong pattern emerge that I find so revealing.
It seems whenever Miske is confronted by an accuser, involved in a dispute, or simply trying to power-play someone else, when cops become involved, his first impulse is to try to identify who they are.
What’s up with that!
Makes me wonder what kind of relationship Miske had with HPD. Would like to see some unsettling discoveries made, but I don’t think that is the direction this trial is going. Hope I’m wrong.
