We’re enjoying a short holiday in Portland, Oregon, but the cats are doing fine at home without us.

I know because we get regular reports and photos from our cat sitter.

And I also check in via the kitty cams that I have around the house. There are a few blank spots, but I am able to keep tabs on their movements through the day. Well, most of the day is spent sleeping, of course. But I can keep track of them during the rest of the day.

And I even managed to get a glimpse of Bessie and Kiko playing! I first saw Bessie under one of the stools around our kitchen counter. She was under the stool, but was standing up with her front paws resting on the stool’s footrest. And she was looking down at an empty Amazon box that I left out on the floor. Then she turned and walked away. It wasn’t until a few minutes later that I saw Kiko sit up and peek out from her position in the box! That explained Bessie’s interest in the box!! With any luck, all the big cats will be playing with Kiko by the time we get back home next week!
