Feline Friday on Saturday

After getting back from Portland on Thursday evening, I didn’t have time to collect enough photos to post Feline Friday on time.

Instead, it appears just a day late!

While we were gone…

• Kiko had a rapid recovery after being spayed on Tuesday, Sept. 24. By the end of the week, she was bouncing around the house chasing and being chased.

• Kiko watched Bessie jump up to “her” spot on the top of a shelf in our little storeroom/pantry, where she doesn’t get chased by Kinikini and can look out a window. Kiki is a quick learner, and when she briefly “disappeared” on Friday morning, she had taken over Bessie’s vantage point. I’m not sure just how that is going to turn out.

• Kali and Kinikini are getting more exercise than previously, either following Kiko around the house, or being chased by her.

• All in all, Kiko has fit in far better than we could ever have predicted!

• And this means that half of our cats are almost “normal,” and don’t immediately go into hiding whenever we leave and a cat sitter takes over the feeding duties. Bessie and Kiko are always happy to meet new people without any fuss. Kali and Kinikini become invisible.

Without more ado, here come the cats. All four of them.

Every once in awhile there is that personality that comes along and brings a unique sparkle which brightens up the whole group. Sounds like Kiko is that one! Works the same way with groups of people too. 😉
