It’s been 14 year since my dad’s ashes were scattered in theáocean out beyond the surf break fronting the Ala Wai Boat Harbor.
He had been a co-founder and first president of the Waikiki Surf Club back in the late 1940s, and the club brought several crews and their canoes to escort him on his final ride. It was a real honor.
That was on November 11, 2010. Time passes quickly, doesn’t it? The loss lasts a lot longer.

A tribute to your Dad that you remember and miss him all these years later.
We all seem to have that parent, the one we got ot when our roads get bumpy. Why can’t I ask them this, why didn’t they tell me that, who can answer this question for me, where I can trust the answer?!? For me it’s my mother.
Thank you, Ian, I thought it was just me and I didn’t know how to grow up or let go.
Pssst… not letting go. We got this! 😉
