Obviously, it’s known as Feline Friday!

Before you get to the rest of the cats, I have to explain this photo.

Early this year, we ordered a pack of these small vinyl window decals that catch the sun and light up like prisms. They are designed to make clear windows visible to birds so that they don’t continue to injure themselves flying into the windows. We put them on most of the windows that look out over our back deck and the back yard. They have worked pretty well, and we’ve only had a couple of bird strikes (non-lethal) in the 7-months since we deployed them.

But they have this other cool feature. When the light is just right, the result is random kaleidoscopic patterns showing up in the house.

In this photo, the shadow of the cat decal can be seen in the center-left surrounded by its many colors!

It took several tries to get the colors to show up well and still capture Kinikini on the sidelines.

Yes, there are a few more photos than usual this week. I’ve been taking more photos while trying to learn the proper way to use this recently acquired camera, a Panasonic Lumix S9. I’ve been plodding along the learning curve for weeks now, learning a lot along the way.
