Passport saga ends well

My renewed passport, good through 2036, was received today in the mail held while we were on the mainland last week.

I checked the tracking info. Here’s the timeline.

Online application submitted Saturday, January 10.

An acknowledgement was received the same day.

Notice that application was being reviewed.

Then radio silence!

Renewed passport received by USPS on January 24.

In hand today, January 28.

Although Meda’s renewal was processed and received back within a week, the record on my renewal isn’t bad either.

Online Application submitted January 10, renewal in hand January 28.

Still far less than the 4-6 weeks applicants are told to expect.

The conspiracy theories are disproved, as least in this case.

And we’re good for another 10 years.

Some federal systems are working.

Great news. Happy Wednesday. I received word that my Elk’s application was rejected due to closing of membership. They referred it to the two other O’ahu lodges, but I’ve not heard anything since.

I recall reading about the advice to proceed through membership in other Oahu Lodges. Is it that transfers from other lodges are a way around the membership cap for 616? I’ll try to look back through emails to check my memory.
