A short personal note

This is addresseed to regulars who stop by this site from time to time.

I have just discovered a medical issue that I have to deal with. It came up with minimal notice and took me by surprise.

While I’m trying to push the diagnostic process along, and trying not to scare myself by searching online for potential worst case outcomes, I might be a little erratic with posts here.

Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

The best I can suggest is that you subscribe, if you haven’t already. That way you should get an email notice each time I post.

So please bear with me while I sort things out.

I’ll be thinking of you with lots of aloha and white light, Ian. We all run into obstacles along the way – I have had several odd health issues that appeared out of nowhere and took a while to recover from… as you say – life throws health curves as we age. Please take good care – you got this!

Aloha mai e Ian, may the positive energies that surround you bring healing into your body, flushing out what is not meant to be there to make you stronger, more energetic, continuing to be full of vim and vigor. I am new to your blog, and am enjoying your descriptive writing and wonderful insights, that makes me feel with each article that you produce that I am on a wa’a journey, with all hands on deck focused and determined to contribute in mind, body, and spirit. You seem to posses an almost magical manner of including the reader to the extent that it feels that I am on a journey with you, and you are the Navigator. In this role of Navigation your read the current, the stars, the winds, directing, with a powerful and commanding presence exhibited through your words and the sharing of your thoughts, woven together like a moena (mat) of a fine intricate weave. We met a long time ago at the the Manoa Quaker House, and you have always been and continue to be a person of respectful integrity. Piha ka naau (full is my insides) me ka mahalo (with gratitude) for continuing to be that North Star, that guides the wa’a in adventuresome ways, with delightful and often profound discoveries. May our Kupuna protect and guide you. Ku’umeaaloha ps my aloha to Meda, one of the most dynamic women who walked the many paths on the UHM campus!!
