It was one of those days.
Top photo: The rain blowing across Koko Crater and Koko Head, and taking aim on us. The rain and wind hit us a few minutes later.
Bottom photo: The passing rain then created at least part of a rainbow.
It was actually just a few minutes after sunrise when we ran into Sugi and her person.
Sugi is a beautiful Tibetan Terrier. She loves her morning walks, loves to dig for crabs along the beach, and loves the promise of treats that we bring (actually, Meda carries the little dog treats that Sugi is most interested in).
In any case, this morning the light was right, the setting nearly perfect, and Sugi’s expression makes the photo.
There’s a weakening tropical storm, the end of former Hurricane Calvin, making its way towards Hawaii.
It is expected to move over the Big Island Tuesday night into Wednesday, and pass south of Maui and Oahu after that.
But there didn’t appear to be any cause for alarm Monday morning at dawn.
It doesn’t get much better than this!
