Dawn and a few dogs

We were too late to catch the first wave of color in the sky, which faded more than 20 minutes before sunrise.

But, luckily, that wasn’t our only chance, as this was one of those mornings when there was more to come.

And we caught up several dogs, including Jake, the toy poodle puppy that only recently completed his shots and was ready to be unleashed on the world. He is just a fluffy ball of excitement and energy!

The photo was taken at Waialae Beach Park, where Waialae Stream flows into Maunalua Bay.

Just click on the sunrise to see the rest of today’s photos!

Did someone say “treats”?

No one had to say anything. Tui and the puppies, Sina and Lagi, are quick studies, and they now associate us with treats. And they arrive on a wave of enthusiasm, as you can see. They are starting to understand about waiting their turns, but they have some studying to do before they get it right.
