What exactly is “Campaign to Reverse Citizens United” Is it a specific organization- I can’t find anything specific by that name- and how does it differ from “Move to Amend”? https://movetoamend.org/ There are a lot of proposals out there for an amendment but also a lot of discussion as to what it should say and do.
Aloha Andy — Mahalo for your interest! Sorry for the confusion. Derek Cressman leads Common Cause’s Campaign to Reverse Citizens United — also known as “Amend 2012” — http://www.amend2012.org.
Why should citizens freely associated with each other in a corporation lose their right of freedom of association and freedom of speech? When Sierra Club issues political mailers are they free to do that? How is that different when a publicly held company does the same thing?
it’s not only money going from corporations to politicians but money going from gov’t. to corporations.the corporations will do the central political classes’ wishes.
