Here’s the way our Valentine’s Day started–a magnificent sunrise viewed from the beach in Kaaawa. The day before we caught a bit of a green flash as the sun rose. No flash yesterday, just this great expanse of light, clouds, and ocean. Don’t miss the long comments posted yesterday describing the discussions inside the Hawaii Democratic Party over how to best accommodate the soaring interest in Tuesday night’s caucuses. I’m thinking about live blogging from the District 47 caucus, at least from our precinct. Much depends on whether I can get a decent wireless signal there in Kahaluu. And I’m sure I won’t be the only one.

There’s been no further news regarding the request for e-mail sent and received by the governor’s office over a recent weekend. The request is now pending at the Attorney General’s office.

But there was good news this week when the city announced its expert panel reviewing and recommending transit technology will meet in public after all.
