Another caucus tidbit: “Hat off to Senator Daniel Inouye”

From a regular reader:

I have to give my hat off to Senator Daniel Inouye last night. At the precinct meeting he stood in line from around 6:00 pm to past 7:30 with all the other attendees. An attempt on behallf of Richard Port, the Dist. 23 chairman and past Hawaii Democratic Party chair, to have the Senator moved in to the cafeteria was kindly refused and the Senator insisted on standing in line. I think Richard Port personally prevailed on the Senator and his fiance to attend his precint meeting.

A gentleman standing infront of Senator Inouye was from India and a new voter. He said that he was going to call his relatives back home to tell them that a United States Senator was standing in line like everyone else and that this was what democracy in America was like.
