Friday, continued…Campaign contribution disclosures delayed due to state computer problems

Trick or treat!

The Campaign Spending Commission’s computer system has played a trick on the public. Apparently it’s been down enough that the commission pushed back the deadline for filing the last pre-election disclosure reports from monday until tonight.

This is part of the notice posted on the commission’s web site:

The Reporting Deadline for the Preliminary General report has been extended from OCTOBER 27, 2008 to FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2008, because the Candidate Filing System and Noncandidate Committee Filing System have been down for an extended time. This report is for the reporting period from September 21 to October 20, 2008, or in some cases, January 1 to October 20, 2008.

The commission also advised candidates to double check after filing their reports to go back and make sure they are displayed properly. The commission advises to repeat as necessary.

The last word?

Mahalo for your cooperation and patience as the State’s Information and Communications Services Division is working to bring the systems back up.
