Another look at Kamehameha Day in 1944 on the beach in Waikiki

Duke KahanamokuI may be in danger of repeating myself, but I discovered yesterday that the initial link failed to display this photo of Duke Kahanamoku and several others taken at Waikiki Beach during WWII.

I believe this dates from a Kamehameha Day celebration in 1944 that featured paddling and surfing competitions.

I originally posted this set of photos back on September 29, but the link provided at that time may have only displayed a single photo. It has subsequently been corrected, but I thought it would be worth calling attention to their availability.
