Compassionate Friends need your help

This request for assistance came in this morning from David Pellegrin, who is drumming up support for Compassionate Friends, a self-help support organization for bereaved families after the death of a child.

David says he has been involved with the group since his son died in a 1991 motorcycle accident.

The Compassionate Friends, out of 500,000 eligible nonprofits, is one of the 100 finalists being awarded $25,000 for receiving the most votes in the first round of the Chase Community Giving program. The Compassionate Friends now moves into the second round of voting which starts today, January 15, and runs through January 22.

The charity with the most votes will receive a $1 million grant while five runners-up will each receive a $100,000 award. TCF would love to take home one of these grand prizes to be used to increase our outreach across the United States. Unfortunately there will continue to be bereaved families and with this award TCF can help insure the success of our vision that “everyone who needs us will find us and everyone who finds us will be helped.”

You can help by passing on this email to your friends, family and business associates telling them about the program and The Compassionate Friends. It will cost them nothing but a few minutes of their time to cast a vote. Visit our website www.compassionatefriends.org for a link to the Chase voting page. Thanks so much for considering my request. And don’t forget to vote yourself for The Compassionate Friends!

Thanks for your consideration.

Dave
