That’s Ms. Meda on the beach in Kaaawa this morning.

We made it through a night of heavy rain, along with associated thunder and lightning, with only a brief power outage. That’s pretty amazing for Kaaawa, which feels like it is usually among the first places to lose power and the last to get it restored.

As we prepared for our walk early this morning, it was dark, brooding, and threatening, but wasn’t raining. So out we went. And we managed to make it across Kaaawa and back before the rain hit.
