We ran into Kaaawa artist Rebekah Luke on our walk this morning. She had just set up to continue work on a painting, looking across the beach towards Kualoa.

If you’re downtown, you can catch the last day of a show which includes a half-dozen of her paintings.
“All Local—Seeing Hawaii Through the Eyes of Local Artists,” a group show by 13 artists, runs June 20-July 29. At 1132 Bishop Street (Lobby Level), in downtown Honolulu. Seven original “treescapes” and “shorescapes” by Rebekah Luke are on exhibit. Regular viewing hours are Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
For more information on Rebekah and her paintings, check her web site.

Mahalo Ian! This image may be the only authentic photo of artist me at work. I like it. Hope you get to see the nice show today at 1132 Bishop Street (lobby level).
she does good work. shorescapes me how some people can paint so photorealistically…
I look at the scene for a really long time, especially the shorescapes. Haha!
Thank you BigBraddah
Ian, this provides a good opportunity for a request: I want to see Alice Brown among the Kaaawa dogs again!

Then we’ll have to get Peter up and down to the beach earlier in the morning.
Really enjoyed your show Rebekah, and really enjoyed this photo Ian!
Mahalo 🙂
A happy ending to a crazy long and stressful day. Thank you both.
