I’ve inherited two electric typewriters from my parents.
A Brother Model SX4000 and a Swintec 8000.
Both belonged to my parents and seem to be in working order.
The Brother is newer, and was used up through most of 2012. The Swintec is several years older, probably not used much at all since 2008.
I would rather not see this in a landfill since both are still working.

Sometimes schools and other government offices still need to use typewriters to fill in forms. You might call Kaaawa Elementary School and check with them.
