Heading home

We’re on our way back from a long weekend in Colorado Springs. Hopefully I’ll be back on the blog track tomorrow.

It’s been fun, but I’ve almost been defeated by the altitude (just over 6,000 feet) and low humidity.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, is the necessary mantra.

And I’ve been advised several times, “watch out when drinking alcohol.” Who, me?

Despite attempts to keep pouring down the water, I’ve only partially managed to knock back a lurking headache that manages to find moments to break through.

Meda hasn’t been as bothered. It’s not fair.

In any case, we’re on a plane this morning for the 7+ hour flight from Denver direct to Honolulu.

Back in Kaaawa sometime this afternoon.

One thing that has continually impressed me has been the dramatic clouds the continually build up over the mountains to the west. The darks and lights are perfect for photos.

Here’s a random shot, taken from the moving car.
