Kenya’s Lawrence Cherono was moving at a blazing pace when he passed our house this morning. I think it was just before 6:45 a.m. when he went past. He set a new course record today, breaking the one he set last year.

I caught it on iPad video, and dropped to slow motion as he went by so that you can appreciate his stride after already running nearly 23 miles.

It really was a thing of beauty.

By the way, that’s our house just as he passed where I was standing.
