Chicago. November 2002. We were there for the American Society of Criminology’s annual conference at the Palmer House Hotel, November 20-23. I just found the stash of digital photos taken on that trip. Here are two of them.

I had recently purchased a new Canon G2 digital camera, which was advertised as 4 MB, a huge improvement over whatever I had been using before. I bought it to capture the year’s kittens, Duke (born in April) and Toby (rescued in October).

But it did pretty good as a travel camera as well. I may have to go back and dredge up some Chicago street scenes from that same trip.
