It’s the final Feline Friday of 2017, and I’m woefully unprepared. Usually at this point I grab a camera and find cats wherever they happen to be. Right now, though, Romeo is curled into a tight ball in a shadowy corner of the room and Ms. Annie is napping somewhere in a hidden spot. So you get what’s available.

The big thing this week were the Amazon boxes. Forget what was in them. The boxes are the treat for the cats. I opened the first one and put the empty box on the floor. Within seconds, Annie was in it, circling around to get a comfortable position, then hunkering down for a good bath and finally to sleep. She emerged sometime on Day 2, I think. Romeo wanted to go in, but the side of the box was too high for him to comfortably enter (his back end doesn’t support much jumping any more). After watching him watching the box for a while more, I put it on its side, and in he went. That was a treat!

Finally we got a second box with lower sides. It’s accessible to both Annie and Romeo. For some reason, Duke just doesn’t seem attracted to either one.
