Former nightclub owner arrested in early morning FBI raid

It appears Mike Miske, a former part-owner and manager of the M Nightclub in Honolulu’s Restaurant Row and owner of Kaamaaina Termite, is behind bars this morning after being picked up in a dramatic early morning raid of his home in Kailua.

Armed FBI agents raided the house at about 4 a.m. as a helicopter circled overhead with a floodlight on the scene, neighbors said.

Breaking news this morning from Hawaii News Now:

The FBI carried out a massive operation across parts of Oahu on Wednesday morning to arrest a Hawaii businessman accused of murder.

The FBI flew in dozens of agents for this operation, including a SWAT team from Quantico, Virginia, sources told Hawaii News Now.

Several locations were hit, including a home in Kailua, where businessman Mike Miske was arrested on a warrant for multiple charges that includes murder.

Miske was seen being put into a car heading to the federal detention center.

This stems from case involving missing man Jonathan Fraser, who was in a car accident with Miske’s son, Caleb Miske.

Caleb died of his injuries in March of 2016. Fraser recovered but went missing in July of 2016.
The FBI is not confirming these raids are the result of that investigation or who they arrested, but sources say this is the result of a grand jury indictment.

The federal investigation was cited in repeated delays in Miske’s pending trial on charges of assault and criminal property damage resulting from an alleged attack on another promoter outside Miske’s M Nightclub in December 2012.

The scheduled trial has been repeatedly postponed at the request of Miske’s attorney, who cited the lack of morement in Miske’s “federal case.”

Little has been known about the federal investigation, but the FBI, in an unusual move, offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest in Fraser’s disappearance.

About freakin’ time. Hope the FBI makes him croak out more interesting names before sentencing. This just like in the movies or tv.

Honolulu Police Officer Jarred Spiker, who was targeted by Kathrine Kealoha for issuance of a ticket involving Miske, also interestingly issued a very controversial DUI ticket to Alan Kekoa Texeira…resulting in His conviction earlier this year. A close friend and employee of Council Chairman Ikaika Anderson, and candidate for City Council District replacement.

Miske-so young, so many companies. He threatened a cop with his connections to the “top of the food chain”. Apparently that meant Katherine Kealoha and possibly others in the Prosecutors Office.

Miske was also tied with Buzzy Hong (HART board, former union boss and former prosecuting attorney’s office organized crime strike force) in the tree controversy at the beach park. Hongs time in the prosecuting attys. office working against organized crime and now working closely with Miske an alleged mob boss won’t go unnoticed by the FBI.

Hong is innocent and would never do anything against the law…! Don’t try and make William Buzy Hong look bad!!! You will find yourself in the middle of a lawsuit…!

Miske’s “associate” and link with Honolulu’s elite political circles was William “Buzzy” Hong.

Hong made the newspapers as a young cop for allegedly choking unconscious UH student John W. Councillor as described in the Honolulu Star Bulletin:

A police officer (Buzzy Hong) asked Councill for his identification. “After I thumbed my wallet and handed it to him, he grabbed me around the neck and said, “Let’s go.” He never said I was under arrest, “ Councill said.
When I said I’d be glad to go, just don’t choke me any more, he put me in a neck-lock and choked me until I was unconscious, “” he added.
Susan Brown, a University sophomore who was at the game and sitting in the row behind Councill, said she saw Councill’s “neck held until he was unconscious.”
He was not moving at all when he was carried out,” she said.
