Stand by for Feline Friday!

The changes in our feline household aren’t as noticeable as during each of the first five weeks after Kinikini joined the household. Now it’s more like a slow ripening of the relationships, not noticeable until you look back and see the fine details that are now emerging.

Kini and Kali play furiously several times a day, and follow each other around much of the rest of the time, changing roles as leader and follower. Actual skirmishes are now few and far between, replaced by what are playful contests, although sometimes the play gets pretty serious looking. I have a squirt bottle to create a distraction if things look and/or sound like they are crossing over the line. But I’ve put it down somewhere and can’t find it when I need it! So it goes.

After a bad day or two, Romeo’s appetite recovered over the past couple of days. When he eats heartily, I feel immediate relief. The trick is to keep him going by tempting him with new food every few hours.

Anyway, enjoy this week’s photos. I left in a couple in which Kali and Kinikini are reduced to colorful blurs. Early morning, lttle light, lots of sound and movement. If only these photos came with sound!

It appears there are two new bosses in Hale Lind and their names start with “K” 🙂

The caption for the photo of Kinikini laying on the floor as Kali looks down on him from her throne:

    “Know your place, son.”
