Since we’re off in cloudy Vancouver, BC, I can’t provide the latest updates on our cats. They’re all safely at home with an experienced cat sitter tending them and the house. I do check in on my cat cams every once in a while, but that’s pretty hit or miss depending on time of day, the state of the sun, etc., etc.
So I decided to take you back to February 2016. It was a different group of elderly cats that shared our house and our lives at that time. Can I name them all? Kili, the matriarch, rescued as a kitten in 1998 (I think I’ve got the right year) after she and her sister had been dropped into the middle of Kahekili Highway from a moving car; Annie, the “youngster” at about 14; Duke, the big tabby Siamese, offspring of a pregnant cat we rescued in 2002; Toby, the ginger cat rescued later that same year as a kitten that had to be bottle fed; and Romeo, who showed up and pushed his way into our house and lives on New Years Day, January 1, 2005.
What fun to go back and visit them! I hope you agree.

I happen to know this is the tip of the iceberg of your feline rescues, happened upon housemates. They become the souls of your home. Just amazing.
Thank you for rescuing these cats.
Wonderful to see Romeo again!
