    Hi Ian,
Great reporting on the Miske case over the years. As to your request, I normally make my $$$ to HPR. I honestly have a hard time donating to an entity owned by a Billionaire worth over 10 billion dollars. Since the donations are for a non profit isn’t the site then mostly paid for by taxpayers? Smart on Pierre’s part no question. But why can’t he just fund it without taxpayers taking on the burden? I’m guessing the costs are mostly payroll in the neighborhood of 5 or 6 mil or so. He can clearly afford it for the next 100 lifetimes. Just curious why ask for donations? Glad you keep us informed on cases like Miske. No other media would come close to your time commitment. Aloha

    Am w/Warren.
Also, there’s a good bit of legacy media type reporting, mimicing corporate talking points. Comments choices will sometimes confirm bias. Just locking for more alternative news, like our old Hono Wkly.

Your personal reporting is fantastic and has been fantastic for many years, and keeps me “glued”. Your non-Miske stories uncover interesting and stuff that the media doesn’t…That said, some of Civil Beat’s content (historically Chad Blair’s) is so unbalanced that it is not even interesting to read…and some of this carries over to some of the other reporters.
