For those who are into such things, the Washington Post has published a transcript of last night’s Democratic presidential debate: “Transcript: The December Democratic debate.”

I’m sure that you can view the whole debate as well, although I haven’t gone looking for that video.

I do think cutting down on the number of debate participants really helped focus in on those that remain.

A few days ago, I had lunch with friends visiting from their home in California.

I asked about their presidential preference.

They gave a thoughtful response. First, they want a presidential candidate to have demonstrated an ability to win in key battleground states. Second, they felt a degree of humility could help any of the current candidates.
